The b4-Kindy program, led by the NSW Department of Education, supports children in the year before kindergarten who live in small rural, remote and very remote communities with limited or no access to early childhood education. It gives them the opportunity to participate in a high-quality, integrated early learning program.

Early Childhood Education

The b4-Kindy program provides a balanced learning environment that aligns to the Early Years Learning Framework and encourages investigative play and experiential learning. Through mixed-grade activities and small, focused group sessions, children in the year before kindergarten engage in a well-rounded learning experience.

The integration of children creates a seamless and continuous learning experience, fostering social and emotional development for all children, and strengthens continuity of learning, by supporting the development of foundational skills, nurturing the child’s wellbeing, curiosity and enthusiasm while instilling a lifelong love for learning.
